Watching Over Whiskers was established at the Community Foundation of the Ozarks in 2015 where cat loving individuals can make tax deductible donations to help make a difference in the lives of felines in Southwest Missouri.
Watching Over Whiskers supports routine vetting to help place kitties in loving homes, as well as Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance and emergency vet assistance for kitties on a case by case basis. Follow us on this journey as we continue to work together, watching over whiskers.
Foundation for an Informed Texas works to provide Texans with the knowledge about cannabis, the biological mechanisms, the physiological aspects and socio-economic impacts. FIT works to engage the community regarding how the legislative and political processes work and to educate legislators and staffers regarding the scientific realities of cannabis.
Texas NORML is a trans-partisan, educational 501c4 nonprofit that focuses on cannabis law reform. Texas NORML’s mission is to change marijuana laws so that it reflects the majority opinion of Texans which is that the responsible use of cannabis by adults and patients should no longer be subject to penalty.
We hold virtual meetings at 7:00 PM on the first Wednesday every month.

They work with food donors across the country, financial supporters, and volunteers to fill unmet needs in Central Texas. This commitment from private, government, and charitable partners has allowed them to bring nearly 54 million meals to the Central Texas community last year and into the hands of families and local nonprofits that turn to them for help.
Sustainable Food Center serves Austin and the Central Texas region by supporting local, small to mid-sized farms so they can thrive. SFC increases access to healthy, local food and offers education and resources to help individuals and families maintain a healthy diet. Sustainable Food Center transforms the food system to nourish our health, land, and livelihood.
Serving the Austin community since 1952, the Austin Humane Society (AHS) is the longest-standing no-kill shelter in Austin. AHS transforms the lives of animals and the people who love them through life-saving programs that find animals homes, serve animals and people in times of crisis, prevent future homelessness through spay and neuter, and engage the community to be a part of the solution.
South Austin Academy of Vocal Arts offers homeschooled students and other youth the opportunity to experience musical excellence in a creative environment and demonstrate musical understanding, artistry, achievement, and confidence through passionate performances and collaborations with fellow singers, conductors, and musicians.

Alzheimer’s Texas provides information, referrals, and a variety of support programs for those with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and their family members, caregivers, and professionals. Alzheimer’s Texas has proudly served Central Texas since 1982. Their programs include a 24/7 Helpline, Consultations, Education, Training, Early Stage Support, Caregiver Support, and Community Respite Development.
Make-A-Wish grants life-changing wishes for children going through so much. They creatively work to exceed the expectations of every wish kid, making donated resources go as far as possible. It’s the founding principle of their vision to grant the wish of every eligible child. For wish kids, just the act of making their wish come true can give them the courage to comply with their medical treatments. Parents might finally feel like they can be optimistic. And still, others might realize all they have to offer the world through volunteer work or philanthropy.
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. They are a worldwide institution in which all societies have equal status and share equal responsibilities and duties in helping each other. Its purpose is to protect life and health and to ensure respect for the human being. It promotes mutual understanding, friendship, cooperation, and lasting peace among all peoples. The Red Cross is a voluntary relief movement not prompted in any manner by a desire for gain.

The UI Center for Advancement was formed by joining the UI Alumni Association and the UI Foundation to better serve alumni and friends in the state and the region, throughout the country, and around the world. Their mission is to advance the University of Iowa through engagement and philanthropy.
